We’ve done OK and are growing into this. It’s high intensity so I think subs will be key. Keith looked pretty angry at the officials in that half.

Something or somebody in our setup is not working. Kayode and Anthony are the first ones to be subbed I think. No threats are coming from the right side, and Chelsea players are easily neutralising what we throw at them with numerical superiority.

Really frustrating performance from us. They have 3 forwards who can't press and a midfield that has never played together there is no way we should be finding it this hard to pass through midfield. Yarmo has tremendous energy but has played like he has trampolines on his feet at times. Far, Far too much aimless hoofing of the ball and we carry absolutely no threat down our right hand side. No idea what is going on with Kayode.

On the positive side the game has still been even, Damsgaard is growing into it and Schuster has been absolutely immense. Get Sangare on at H/T please and maybe Hickey as well.

Struggled a little early on, but adapted and got right on top. More of the same second half, please. Though I'm not sure that the current way we're playing lends itself to Kayode...There's a bit of a trend in the PL of teams attacking down the left. There was some table I saw where only really Arsenal attack down the right primarily. It says a lot, and we need to be more secure on our right, therefore, we've given their LWB a lot of space as Anthony hasn't always tracked him and Kayode is tucking in again to shut off Rogers' space. We need to get Kayode out a bit more, and get Yarmo to drop onto Rogers, imo, but because we're pushing Dams up, we're a man short there and need someone to cover off Barco, who has been very quiet simply because he's been (man)handled.

Observations so far:

I think Jannik’s been brilliant at the back.
YY’s been a big presence in midfield
Kellhrer being superman again
Igor’s hold up and linking play good again

Dams getting into good areas but a few careless passes.
I do worry that Chelsea will start to exploit the space on the right. MK needs to be a bit tighter.
Neither Kev nor jaidon really in the game yet.

Think we have nullified them well but in doing it have limited our own attacking threat. I think tactically spot on - we go gung ho and they'll pull us apart.

Yeah his incredible vision has got us out of tight spots quite a bit. If we provide more targets for him he’ll hit them.
Main problem is Chelsea working hard so those options to pass to are limited. A battle of off-the-ball workrate arguably now.

He was warned once a few seconds before actually losing it a couple minutes ago.

I don't think it's his fault here, actually. He needs the runner to make the move, but no-one is. In that case, Yarmo should have made the forward move, but he held his ground. Dams didn't want to make that pass, as it would have literally done nothing for us. Yarmo should have pushed.

We're making tiny mistakes like that a lot. I can see what we're looking to do, but it's not quite clicking yet.

Can the ref just start booking the moaning Chelsea players. Honestly. It’s pathetic.

Thought we started slowly with some really shoddy passing putting us under unnecessary pressure. As the half wore on, though we were the better team.

Ref is another clown. Thiago gets grabbed round the throat and…nothing. Needs some protection.

Overall looking decent. Think that Palmer, Damsgaard and Schade are probably the most likely to unlock the defences.

It is indeed very weird. There were couple of instances when in our buildup the whole right side was completely ours and we just didn't have any intention to utilize it. I'm not going to pretend to be a tactical genius, so it left me puzzled.

I do agree that we haven’t been able to replicate the spurs game.

But against Leeds we were good first half. I think the fact we didn’t come away with a win, that disappointment arguably played a role in the Sunderland performance. Yes against muff we were second best.

But what he has done is made us hard to beat. Picking up point when you’re not at your best is a good habit to have. So yes, we’ll know we can be better. But we’re churning out points, and at this early stage, that’s the crucial thing

Let’s be honest- Henderson is not the most perceptive of people (big advocate of the LGBT community before heading off to Saudi Arabia!)

If he doesn’t realise that his behaviour on being subbed and his antics after the game at Liverpool (reading between the lines KA wasn’t best pleased and I suspect he let Henderson know) caused a real issue for a lot of Bees fans then he is even less perceptive than I thought!
