The camera was too far away to actually see the tackle properly. At the very least it was very hard from Goode. There was no replay available and no close up.Any updates on Bentt's injury? Sounds like a nasty one, poor lad. Fingers crossed for a speedy recovery
If it had been a PL match it would have been looked at very very closely by VAR.

Anyone know the exact rules regarding overaged players in under 21 matches? It would appear there there were several in the opposition today. Goode always was, and probably still is a clumsy player.

The limits on players over 21 only apply to the invited teams ie the PL teams. They do not apply to EFL teams.

I particularly didn't like the shot of him chatting to his teammates while they were treating the lad. He didn't look particularly upset, in fact he was smiling!

This is a bit of an unfair comment. I was there yesterday, as soon as Goode noticed the severity of the injury he waved the physios on and was crouched by Bentt’s side comforting him for a good 3 or 4 minutes. And then went over again to Bentt after the medical team had got him onto the stretcher to wish him well. It was a firm but fair challenge, unfortunately these things happen. Best wishes for Luka’s recovery

You saw it on a split second. A slow motion replay could well show something different as is often the case. A crunching tackle on a youngster by a seasoned pro in a meaningless game was unnecessary to say the least.
I have no idea of what damage Bentt has suffered but can only pray it won't end his career. Legs don't break themselves so there must have been some contact

Especially in the area of the pitch it occurred. It was completely unnecessary and OTT. No idea why he felt the need to go right through the player the way he did.
