Yes on my leaving do of last job in December 2017 they got us an executive box at Twickenham for the varsity game as a thanks. Free booze so Absolutely caned then a pub in isleworth then told my work mates to come to mine for whisky and backgammon.

I get in and say to the wife “what the f*** are the kids doing awake? In fact why are you still awake …”

Wife says:

“David, it’s half five in the afternoon “ 😂

Thursday 7th December 2017 according to my gpg diary 🤓 🧐

Amazingly I remember exactly what that was. It was at Smithfields of Smithfield. My boss at the time (who was one of the backgammon whisky brigade) and me and one other senior leader took out my soon to be new boss at the new firm at the time!! It was good but my soon to be new boss was far more straightlaced and got himself back to the office leaving us three reprobates to expense away.

The legacy of that is I was boasting how good i was at backgammon so i now have to play an annual game on line vs the new boss. (who has since retired at FIFTY TWO!!!!!! ) bastard :D but i guess thats what happens when you go back to the office......

Vinicius Jr. seemingly scored for R.Madrid, but on the VAR check he was discovered to have pulled an opponents hair in the build-up, meaning that the goal was to be disallowed and Vinicius Jr. getting a straight Red card for violent conduct in the exact same sequence that he'd thought he scored in
And then Mourinho boycotted his post match press conference duties, the tit.

is it wrong to wonder whether having a name like that means he might also have seven fingers ?

Surely the whole point of the cards are that everyone can see what it is from anywhere? How will that work, does it have 2 screens?

Plus aren't red cards round so that colour blind people can tell the difference (if this is still a thing)

the cards are different shapes for the ref's purposes to make sure he brings the correct one from his pocket, not colour blind spectators.

Brøndy had an hilarious own goal in Denmark. Immediately after kick-off following the opponent scoring to 0-1, the ball is passed back to their right-sided defender who under barely any pressure passes the back back to their goalkeeper, except that instead of standing at the line as he expected, the goalie is standing near the left end of the D. So the ball simply rolls barely out of reach and into the goal

Big match in Ukraine yesterday, with Polissya hosting Dynamo Kyiv. The home team have had a great start to the season, 19pts from first 8 games. But they lost their keeper to some mad play in the first 5mins :(

They went behind on 20, but came roaring back, their striker scoring a hat-trick!
12mins of highlights here, if you fancy:

Great scenes when they go 3-1 up, skip to 75mins :)

What's weirder..
Liam Rosenior being level top of Ligue 1 eith Paris FC or the fact that over 50% of the 7 goals were scored from a penalty... 3 being in last 15 minutes plus added time...

It seems the French are more receptive to respecting the ball than the British!

Bravo.

A hat trick of pens for the rennes player. That must be unusual

GW7 in the Bundesliga. Having lost their first 6 matches, few would’ve expected Moenchengladbach to win 2-3 in Stuttgart tonight. A deserved win achieved despite having 10(ten) first teamers missing, a decidedly iffy keeper, and going behind in the first couple of minutes.
The kids did alright, with more attempts on target, and running 6km more than the home team.

Think it’s a great tactic. Been saying I thought we would see more of it. So many keepers now so far out of the area, to be available as an option for the players to use. Quick turnover the keeper won’t get back in time. An early shot will keep them very honest and deepen the play if a team wants to use the keeper while in possession.

Wimbledon are playing "Arsenal" tonight in the EFL Trophy

On a week night the kick off is at 6pm

So the Arsenal kids can then watch the Arsenal Reserves on TV at 8pm play Fleetwood in the EFL Cup:ROFLMAO:

Phil Parkinson is hoping Wrexham can buck the unusual trend of Championship sides struggling in seasons after they have narrowly missed out on the play-offs.
Over the previous 15 second-tier campaigns, only one side have achieved a top-half finish - when Middlesbrough came fourth in 2022-23 - in the year after finishing seventh in the Championship.
Wrexham ended up seventh last season - the club's highest ever league finish - as they lost out on a top-six place following a 2-2 draw with Boro on the final day.
The Red Dragons currently sit 17th having claimed just 14 of the 36 points on offer so far this season.
Wrexham news: Red Dragons aiming to buck bizarre Championship trend
