:nono: His form has been no where near as good since he left us. I wouldn't want him to come back and ruin all those great memories.

I don't think we should be signing players who are only "worth a punt" and I would not want to see Gary Smith waiting for Paul Evans to catch up with him on the overlap.

What, you mean something like the Sports Personality Awards at the NEC on the Sunday evening when there was something like a Football League meeting at 11 am in Walsall on the Monday morning that meant that someone couldn't attend an emergency meeting at 7.30am Monday morning at a place near the M25/M40/M1 in Hertfordshire or even join in on a conference call ? :shrug:

Sounds like he got the sh*tty end of the stick though - that's what happens when you don't turn up for meetings. :)

He didn't at first. I think a couple of bad experiences learned him that to take on an older player requires someone with the necessary skill at the right price. I would personally hate to see Paul Evans come back and bee seen as another Mackie or a Thorpe.

Suspect that we have seen the last of Paul at a senior level.

His best years were at GP, how good it was to see a Brentford player play for a home international side. One of very few Welsh players at GP in all my years.
